Sandia Labs is holding a semi-annual meeting Tuesday October 28, 2014 from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Cesar Chavez Community Center. 7505 Kathryn Ave. (off of Louisiana and Zuni)
Sandia Labs has filed a Certificate with the NM Environment Department for ending corrective action at the Mixed Waste Landfill. The Mixed Waste Landfill is a cold war era nuclear weapons dump with mixed radioactive and hazardous waste. The waste should be excavated – not left in place above Albuquerque’s drinking water aquifer in shallow unlined pits and trenches.
Kirtland AFB will also meet from 6:30 to 7:30
